Gloria J. Boynton Mayo Burrell is a freelance Business Consultant, Paralegal, Entrepreneur, Florida Realtor and National Registered Tax Preparer. She has extensive experience in all areas of the legal industry, including all facets of litigation, tax, corporate, real estate, family law, employment law, personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, maritime litigation, among others. Ms. Mayo Burrell has been contracted as a Business Consultant to handle Office Set-Up and Reorganization of various small and medium-sized businesses throughout South Florida, and is a current member of the South Florida Paralegal’s Association in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Additionally, Ms. Mayo Burrell is the founder, CEO and Executive Director of Restoration Job, Inc., a non-profit organization in Atlanta, Georgia and Miami, Florida that is finalized, and has its 501(c)(3) tax exempt status for donations. Ms. Mayo Burrell is committed to helping Ex-Offenders who have a true desire for change to “make a positive transition to a new life” through full-service, multi-functional rehabilitative programs that are specifically designed to modify behavior and change lives.

Ms. Mayo Burrell has a BA Degree in Business Management from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida with a minor in Music Business and Entertainment Industries. She has also worked in the Entertainment Industry as an Artist Manager for many years. Ms. Mayo Burrell is a graduate of Leadership Miami, Class of 1987, a member of the National Association of Female Executives, and the National Association of Professional Women. She was also Second Vice President of the American Association of Black Women Entrepreneurs, South Florida Chapter, from 1987 through 1989. Ms. Mayo Burrell has also been a Speaker at various schools and professional organizations from 1987 through the present.

Ms. Mayo Burrell was Founder and President of Professionally Yours, Inc. (“PYI”) from 1987-1989. PYI was a secretarial and typing service offering in-house Word Processing Services, 24-hour dial-in dictation and temporary and permanent placement employment, with specialty in legal, corporate and general business. PYI established an excellent reputation and created the motto, “where quality comes naturally,” reflecting the mission and goals of the organization. Ms. Mayo Burrell has appeared as a Special Guest on “Here’s to South Florida,” Channel 33 featuring women in business, “Something On 17,” Channel 17, and several other business radio and television talk shows during this period.

Ms. Mayo Burrell is also the Founder of “The Art of Being Professional,” Business Seminars that she created, hosted and co-sponsored along with then “Miami Vice” Star, Philip Michael Thomas at the PMT Miami Way Theater from 1987 through 1989. PYI’s goal with its Business Seminar, “The Art of Being Professional” was to improve employee awareness and professionalism, and to create a harmonious balance between employers and employees throughout corporate America. Employers and Employees gave PYI’s Business Seminars rave reviews for effectiveness. Ms. Mayo Burrell was the Business Manager and Consultant for Mr. Thomas during this period where she directly assisted and handled his personal and business financial affairs, and created and implemented office systems for his private corporations, Spaceship Records and PMT Music Productions, Inc. and the Philip Michael Thomas Fan Club.

Ms. Mayo Burrell was born in Columbia, South Carolina, moved to Miami, Florida in 1974 and began her legal career in 1975. Ms. Mayo Burrell returned to Columbia, South Carolina in 1980 for a four-year period. While there, she worked as Office Manager and Paralegal for several law firms prior to her return to Miami, Florida in 1984, where she resided until 2005 when she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Mayo Burrell has successfully worked in the legal arena in Miami-Dade County, Florida and downtown Atlanta, Buckhead and surrounding areas of Metropolitan Atlanta as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant for 30 years in various major law firms throughout the South Florida area, and her abilities are greatly respected. Specifically, Ms. Mayo Burrell was contracted as the Lead Paralegal for the Country Walk Homeowners’ Class Action Litigation against Arvida/Disney at the law firm of Robles & Gonzalez from 1992 through 1994, and set up the Construction Defect Litigation Department for the Firm immediately following Hurricane Andrew. She had the sole responsibility for increasing and maintaining a client base from 14 to 650, from initiation through the end of the settlement process.

Ms. Mayo Burrell has also performed numerous full-time and part-time, special assignments and legal projects in this arena, and performed several organizational and consultant projects for Bahamas Air and several private business owners, politicians and small businesses throughout South Florida, Atlanta, and South Carolina from 1995 through the present.

Ms. Mayo Burrell has recently joined the Keller Williams Partners Realty Family in Plantation, Florida as a Florida Sales Associate and has launched UBU Tax Professionals Elite (“UBUTPE”), a Full Service Online, Onsite and Mobile Tax Center through her existing corporation, Universal Business Unlimited, Inc., a National Corporation in three locations, which she has successfully operated as President/CEO since 2008. UBUTPE hires Contractors and offers an lucrative Associate Program to Tax Preparers throughout the United States each Tax Year.

Ms. Mayo Burrell is devoted to the Legal Arena and enjoys assisting attorneys and law firms on an as-needed basis in Trial Preparation and Paralegal Duties in all arenas. She is also a Child Advocate and dedicates time to assisting the “Grandparents Raising Grandkids Program” and Anonymous Grandparent Alienation Association.

Ms. Mayo Burrell’s goal is to help empower the community and educate the consumers whom she assists nationwide to bring about a positive change in their lives.
